Doug and Lydia at Minooka Park – Engagement Portrait Photography

Waukesha Outdoor On Location Nature Engagement Portrait Photos, Minooka Park, Waukesha,WI-011

It’s always flattering to gain a client from a previous photoshoot! Lydia was actually a bridesmaid in a wedding randy and I photographed the year before. So working with her and her fiancé Doug was really fun and natural since we’d already spent a day with them.

This engagement session was photographed at Minooka Park in Waukesha. A lot of the leaves had already fallen but we were able to find a few trees that were still hanging on to their autumn colors.

We can’t wait to photograph Lydia and Doug’s wedding day!

Doug and Kelsey are Engaged! | Waukesha Engagement Photographer

Randy and I met Kelsey and Doug at Retzer Nature Center for their engagement session.

There’s a loop trail that we like to take our clients on because you get a little bit of structure with the board walk and bridge and long dreamy grass that makes for great nature photos. We like to try and end the session up on the hill that Retzer is known for.
We made the trek up there with Doug and Kelsey. Glad we did! The sky was so pretty and gave us a really soft light to work with.

Randy and I are excited to shoot their upcoming wedding! It’ll feel so natural with them on their big day after this fun engagement shoot. What a lovely couple they make:)

Clayton and Linsey are Engaged! | Delafield Engagement Photographer

Lapham Peak Outdoor Engagement Photography, Delafield, WI-016

Clayton and Linsey met up with us for their engagement session at Lapham Peak State Park. We’ve been there a few times for other sessions and just for hiking with our boys so we knew exactly where we wanted to start.

There’s a beautiful tree with low hanging branches that stretch out over long grass. I call it the “magical tree” because every photo taken under it turns out soft and beautiful. I’m sure it has nothing to do with the camera. 🙂

Clayton is actually my (Ellen) brother so being able to take these pics for them was super special for me. It was just us hangin’ out while documenting their love! 🙂

Drew and Darcy Engagement Session at Lisbon Community Park

So randy and I first got to know Drew and Darcy at a Starbucks on a warm June night. We met so we could talk wedding photos!

We connected right away and had a great time going over their wedding schedule. We set up this engagement shoot a few days later. So glad we did! These two are completely in love and these are the pictures to prove it!

We actually shot these photos at the location where Drew proposed to Darcy. How special is that?! It was such a gorgeous summer evening and, except for the mosquitoes making us rush through the wooded area, we were able to relax, take our time and get some great shots of the two.

Lapham Peak Snowy Engagement | Studio re

46-Dan-Hillary-Snow-Engagement-Lapham-Peak-Delafield-WI

I can’t remember the exact temperature during our Lapham peak engagement shoot, but let me tell you it was COLD! Dan and Hillary were so good at pretending they were warm. I felt a little bad asking them to shed their coats for some of the photos. But as you see they were great sports and dove right in.

What’s crazy to me about his shoot is how completely different it looked covered in a snowy blanket as apposed to our mid summer photo shoot we had there just a few months early. Any season though, this place is beautiful.

Working with Dan and Hillary felt really natural to Randy and I. You can tell they simply love one another’s company and it shows through the photos..Dan was a perfect gentleman to his future bride as he lead her through the snow drifts and offered her his warm gloves. They are such a sweet couple and we can’t wait to shoot their upcoming wedding.
