Randy and I showed up at Nashotah House a couple of hours before Drew and Darcy tied the knot. They wanted to do a “first look” and then go right into some quiet intimate photos before guests started to arrive. There are so many grand and beautiful places at Nashotah House. We walked all over the grounds and got some lovely shots of the two.
Randy hung out with Drew while he got ready for Darcy’s big reveal. I got to stick around Darcy and photograph her putting on her jewelry, strappy heels, and gorgeous bridal gown.
Drew and Darcy were awaited by a horse drawn carriage directly following their ceremony. They took a spin around the grounds and arrived back at the Nashotah House dinning hall where their wedding guests were mingling and helping themselves to delicious gourmet mini sliders, bowls of fresh fruit, beverages and much more.
We loved being a part of their special day!
Congratulations to Dan and Hillary on their wedding!
Randy and I arrived at Hales Corners Lutheran Church an hour before their ceremony. Randy hung out with the guys and photographed their comradery and of course I lingered with the girls while last minute lip gloss was applied and dresses were donned. Witnessing the bubbling anticipation for things to get started is one my favorite parts of any wedding day. Hilary’s best friend and maid of honor was always close by to aid the blushing bride in any way. The friendships were close and awesome to photograph.
After the ceremony we all hopped in a limo bus and headed out to Greenfield park for bridal party photos. It was perfect weather for outdoor wedding photos. We were able to get some quiet, intimate shots by the lake.
Dan and Hilary’s reception was held at the beautiful Merrill Hills in Waukesha. No time was wasted getting into the celebratory spirit! Guests were encouraged to mosey upstairs during the night to where a photo booth was waiting for photo fun.
Delicious food, lively dancing, and smiles galore, the day was a total success!
Congratulations to Joe and Ericka! The two were wed on July 5th, 2015 in a backyard ceremony. With the wedding style being “country chic” the wedding party all wore their cowboy and cowgirl boots. The bridesmaids held beautiful bouquets with jute wrapped stems and the groomsmen all strapped on pale grey suspenders.
Friends, smiles, laughter, and water bottles were abundant on that hot summer afternoon. Reception directions were printed on paper fans to keep guests comfortable during the ceremony.
Guests danced to a live bluegrass band while sipping lemonade. What a gorgeous day! I’m so glad we were a part of it!
